Biography

Mamma Kandeh is a Gambian politician, know for his commitment to rural territories and the defense of traditional values.

Mamma Kandeh was born on 12 july1965 and attented Crab Island School in Banjul and the Gambiaz TchenicalTraining Institute (GTTI) in Jeshwang KMC. Serrekuna and then moved to Cologne. He was elected in 2007 as a Member of Parliamant. On 11 May 2016, he founded his party, thez Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC)

After seven years in Germany, Mamma Kandeh returned to the shores of Gambia and decided to begin his political career. To do this, he took courses at the Rome Business School in Italy, supervised by Professor Alessio Postiglione, an Italian academic specializing in political communication. Mamma Kandeh graduated Summa cum laude in political marketing and communication.

A member of the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction, which was then the ruling party, he left the movement in 2016 to found the GDC! - GAMBIA DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS.

In November 2021, Mamma Kandeh's candidacy for the 2021 presidential election was supported by former president Yahya Jammah. He obtained 12.32% of the votes.
